DIY: Peppermint Bath Soak

pep soak1 DIY: Peppermint Bath Soak

I myself am a firm believer in taking baths. After standing in a bakery all day making cakes, I like to soak my tootsies in a warm, aromatic tub. Relaxing and soothing?.. don’t mind if I do!

Making your own homemade bath soaks is really easy and cheap.. plus it makes great gifts (Valentines is just 2 weeks away!)

This soak consists of only three ingredients and works swimmingly. Let’s get started.

What you’ll need:

-1 lb carton Epsom salt

-20-30 drops peppermint essential oil

-handful of dried peppermint leaves

:: Mix all ingredients together.

:: Store in your favorite mason jar and add a few spoonfuls to your next bath.

Ahhh.. so lovely. The scent of the peppermint is refreshing and really opens up the sinuses if you happen to be stuffy (which I perpetually seem to be).

Take a load off!

    Whoa. How did I not know you worked at a bakery? I own and operate a bakery in Memphis!
    And AMEN to a good soak after standing, bending, reaching, stirring all day! This sounds like HEAVEN and I have a thriving (aka humongous) peppermint plant in my kitchen right now. Done and done. Thanks for the tip and happy baking!!!!!

    hi Kat! I love working in the bakery, but most times my feet do not. We deserve to rest and soak every once in a while! Happy baking to you as well!!
