DIY: Coffee Body Scrub
I can’t describe how much I love this exfoliating body scrub! It’s the perfect thing to polish your winter-worn, flaky skin. A cinch to make, and super cheap = all-around awesomeness. Let’s get started..
What you’ll need:
-1/2 cup ground coffee (I chose finely ground espresso, but use whatever you have on hand)
-1/2 cup sugar
-2 tbsp cinnamon
-roughly 1/4 cup olive oil
-several drops vanilla essential oil
:: Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
:: Rub onto damp skin in circular motions (I recommend doing this in the shower, as it can get kinda messy). You can use a loofah or sponge, but I prefer my own hands. Once you have your entire body covered, rinse under hot water.
Feels oh-sooo good. I promise.

Trying this – thanks for posing! I was wondering… does caffeine from the coffee grounds absorb into the skin? I have enough trouble waking up in the morning – this might help!
hmm, not sure about that paige.. i guess it couldn’t hurt
can you use coffee grounds that have already been brewed? stimulating AND exfoliating!
tanja, you sure can! no need to waste it after your morning cup
if you make a large amount of this how long do you think it will keep?
great question kristie!.. probably for a while. but, i recommend using it up within a month or so.. it’s really easy to prepare, so might as well make a fresh batch every month.
Just made this and added a little honey and skipped the vanilla essential oil. My skin feels very soft now!
great idea. next time i’ll add some honey too!
